AboutPaul G. Oliver, PhD, is a musician and research academic best known for his work on local music scenes (see Publications).
A musicologist and theorist, he holds degrees in both contemporary popular music and business. His research covers a variety of topics within the field of musicology such as DIY culture, managing creativity, IPR law and audiovisual live performance. He completed his PhD thesis: 'Adopting new technologies: self-sufficiency and the DIY artist' in 2009.
